Samuel Kolega starts off like a bat out of hell. But, whoopsie daisy, his outside ski takes a little tumble at the third gate. Uh-oh, it’s not looking good. The dude keeps having issues. Before you know it, he’s really taking his sweet time before that big ol’ steep slope. In the end, he manages to cross the finish line, but not without a bunch of facepalms from the audience. He lands in 14th place, barely squeaking by Popov, who’s basically teetering on the edge of getting kicked out of the race.

Fabio Gstrein slows waaay down before the initial hilltop. He’s cool with the path he’s on, but he’s definitely leaned into the edges a bit too hard before this. The Austrian guy’s losing his mojo on the last part of the slope. He ends up in eighth place, a full 1.5 seconds behind this dude named Noel.

Daniel Yule lifts his skis a bit a few times in the middle part. The Swiss guy jumps a tad between the gates, which isn’t the best. He’s pretty high up when he hits the finish slope. But, you know, he ends up in tenth spot, 1.77 seconds slower than the leader. Yule’s definitely not ahead in this one.

Lucas Pinheiro Braathen is really gunnin’ it on the edges up top, buddy! That Brazilian guy is tearing up the place and making a whole lot of racket. But, oh man, he goes and overdoes it on the last slope, and now he’s gotta give it two big pushes. He’s lagging by a solid 1.51 seconds, so he’s gonna need like, the run of his life, in the final to catch up!.

Kristoffer Jakobsen gets all tangled in the race drama. The dude who almost won in Kitzbühel gets held up right at the start of the switcheroo.

Dave Ryding also has a close call on his inside ski, like Popov, but somehow he pulls it off better. The British guy goes through the middle part of the slope a bit too wide, though, and that costs him some precious time. He’s now lagging by 1.86 seconds, but hey, he’s still in the game!

Albert Popov slips at the top of his inner ski. He manages to keep from wiping out completely on the slope, but it’s a close call. The Bulgarian’s already halfway into a faceplant before he can recover. Darn it, now he’s dead last and lagging by over two seconds.

Steven Amiez starts off pretty good, but then a wave in the middle part of the track gives him a bit of a scare. It sends him flying and he’s gotta make a quick turn. He pushes too hard on the steep part and ends up being 1.49 seconds slower than the leader. He takes the seventh spot.

Meillard’s right there, just a tiny 0.19 seconds behind.

A small update on Loic Meillard’s performance. The Swiss skier looked like a pro out there, carving through the middle part of the run like a knife through butter, playing with those waves like they’re just a bunch of friends out for a ride. He had a tiny slip on the final slope, turning almost sideways, but bounced back like a champ and sped up again, getting right back in the mix for the medals. Dude’s only 0.19 seconds behind Noel, which is basically just a blink of an eye. He’s sitting pretty in second place right now! 🏋️‍☠️💨

And about Straßer, he’s not too far off either! He’s seriously close to the podium action. Keep an eye on him!

Linus Straßer is totally going for it! This German dude is up there kicking butt, leading the pack and having the time of his life. But oh no, he gets a bit too eager and wobbles on his inside ski not once, but twice. Then, boom! He overshoots it on the last slope, spinning around and having to straighten up. That little mishap bumps him down to fourth place, which is a bummer since he’s just a stone’s throw from the silver medal spot. He’s only 0.077 seconds behind Noel and 0.13 seconds from snagging that second place. So close, yet so far!

Atle Lie McGrath’s kicking things off pretty good. In the middle bit, our Norwegian buddy leans forward twice with his upper body. It throws him off balance a smidge, but hey, he’s still holding his own in second place, not too shabby being six tenths behind the leader!

Manuel Feller jumps over the gates up top like it’s nothing. Then, the local star speeds through the middle part, getting super close to those gates. But oh no, his outside ski decides to go rogue on the steep part. He’s still 1.28 seconds behind, and that’s without messing up big time. Noel totally set the bar high for everyone else out there.

Timon Haugan slips up a bit at the start, but the speedy Norwegian dude quickly gets back into the groove. Near the end, his skis slide a tad on the final slope. And guess what? He’s still seven tenths slower than Noel. Did the French guy just have a total fairytale run or what?

Kristoffersen’s way back there, not even close to Noel

So, in a more chill way, Timon had a tiny hiccup at the top, but he bounces back fast. But then, his skis play a little trick on him at the bottom. And the big deal is, he’s still not as fast as Noel by a noticeable margin. It’s like Noel had a run that’s pure magic. And poor Kristoffersen, he’s not even in the same ballpark!

Henrik Kristoffersen over-rotates a smidge in that first transition. In the middle part, he’s really pushing it, staying on the edge way longer than Noel. But, oh man, on the last hill, he slips up for a sec, and ends up being a solid 1.59 seconds behind Noel. Now, that’s pretty impressive.

Let’s start off with this guy, Clement Noel from France, okay? He’s up there at the top, just a tad over the edge, you know? Then he goes into this big, long turn in the middle part of the run, and he’s really pushing those skis of his. On the last bit, the slope where you’ve gotta go all out, he gets a little wobbly, and his skis go a bit off track. But hey, no big deal, right? Just small stuff. So he ends up with a time of 59.23 seconds. Pretty good, I’d say!

Who else might be fighting for those shiny medals, you ask? Well, there’s the Norwegian slalom superstar, Henrik Kristoffersen, who’s been holding onto that title like it’s nobody’s business. Then there’s Timon Haugan, Atle Lie McGrath, and Alexander Steen Olsen, all showing some serious skills this season. From Austria, we’ve got the speedy trio of Marco Schwarz, Manuel Feller, and Fabio Gstrein, definitely not guys you’d want to bet against.

The Swiss are bringing heat with Daniel Yule, Loic Meillard, and Tanguy Nef, who’ve all had their moments on the podium. Don’t forget Italy’s Alex Vinatzer, who’s been tearing up the slopes like he owns the place. And let’s talk about the Swede, Kristoffer Jakobssen, who’s been absolutely smoking the competition on this particular hill.

But wait, there’s more! We’ve got the Bulgarian talent Albert Popov and the British hero Dave Ryding, both ready to throw down. And not to be outdone, Samuel Kolega from Bulgaria and the Brazilian ripper Lucas Pinheiro Braathen are in the mix too, keeping things spicy.

Long story short, the list of folks who could snatch a medal is longer than the line for the ski lift. It’s gonna be one heck of a competition!
